The Vulcain watch manufacturer was founded in 1858, and the company’s headquarters are today located in Le Locle, Switzerland.
In 1947, Vulcain invented the first wristwatch equipped with a genuinely operational alarm function. This innovation was to earn the brand its reputation with American presidents from Harry S. Truman onwards.
Since then, each American president and other eminent figures around the world have owned a Vulcain watch – a tradition that has been perpetuated right through to the current President of the United States.
